Meet Nurse Susan

With over 25 years of nursing experience across critical care, pediatrics, and emergency medicine, I bring a depth of expertise to every patient interaction. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Luther College, where I gained extensive hands-on experience, including a year-long rotation at Mayo Clinic.

Throughout my career, I’ve cared for critically ill patients—from transplant and pediatric ICU cases to emergency department care—and I led a team of nurses supporting long-term care facilities during COVID-19, achieving outcomes well below national averages. I’m licensed to practice in 45 states and hold current Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support certifications.

My approach blends empathy with expertise. I understand how confusing navigating healthcare can be, and I’m passionate about providing clear, personalized guidance. Whether answering questions, advocating for patient needs, or simplifying complex care plans, I strive to empower people to make informed decisions about their health.
